Front Overprinting
January 21, 2008 • Related • Filed Under
Front over printinting is a popular method of personalising a christmas card for corporate use. It usually means starting with a preprinted design and then applying the company name using hot foil press technique. The foil colours can vary but is usual to use a metallic foil such as silver, gold or red on a white background. Logos can also be block foiled and this involves making a raised plate of the the company logo which can be used on the hot foil press.
An example of a silver front overprinting can be seen below. This card is a 2007 design from Company Christmas Cards.
