Christmas Card – Airfix Style
Originality always gets us going here on the Company Christmas Card blog and cards do not come much more original than the flat pack do it yourself creation from University student Alexander Glenn. We came across Alexander’s work on the Creative Review website and we have to say if you looking for a unique way to engage your customer this has got to be the answer.
The Creative Review describe the card as an Ikea-style, flat-packed Christmas tree that you can assemble and proudly stand on your desk. Personally, it reminds me more of the Airfix kits I used to assemble as a child. In this case however, the injection moulded pieces of plastic give way to a textured card. Anyway, if you can imagine a customer receiving a corporate christmas card in this style then I guarantee it will bring out the child in him or her and they will be busy asembling this christmas tree ornament to stand alongside their computer.
If there are any christmas card printers reading then we hope they snap up this young designers work ready for christmas 2008. Just tell him where you found this so we can take a small piece of credit for the diy christmas card revolution.
