There is something about black and white christmas cards that really appeal to me.  I guess they stand out against all the bright reds, greens and golds that are the staple colours of most other cards on the market.  This design is called ’A Winter’s Day in London’ and the snow slush of the pathway makes for a pretty glum scene not typical of most christmas cards.   However there is something about the tranquil park that makes me wish I was taking a stroll along the Thames river bank right now rather than getting ready to start a days work.

This design  is among many other photographic christmas card scenes available from Green Charity Christmas Cards.  The company name sums up the company rather well.  Their cards are eco friendly and 10p per card is donated to the Woodland Trust to further back their green committments.  The site is operated by design consultancy, Jacamar, and we will feature more about the approach towards environmentally friendly christmas cards in future articles
