This has to be my favourite category. I am a big fan of traditional Christmas Card designs and I am glad to say they are usually more popular than some of their contemporary counterparts. Every year we see a new wave of innovative funky designs from an artwork team keen to show off their new computer aided design skills but quite often these trends disappear as quickly as the Christmas holidays themselves. The traditional Christmas card always stands the test of time and never dates. Many would argue that it does not matter whether a Christmas Card design dates because it will be in the recycling bin by the new year. This is a fair comment, but does the contemporary christmas card evoke the same sort of magic and warmth ?
